Low Country Oscillations has been pumping out non stop underground electronic dance music from it's spiritual home The Wormhole since 2013. Founded by Irish expat Oisin Daly, it has been the only place to find drum and bass, dub reggae, house and non commercial EDM in Savannah for the last 5 years. Occasionally hosting headliners such as Deekline, DJ Dara and AK1200 the focus is more on promoting local and regional underground DJ's and a healthy underground electronic music scene. LCO has recently expanded to hosting residencies in some downtown venues including Prohibition Savannah and Vice Lounge and Mojito bar. One thing you can always guarantee is No Top 40 or mainstream EDM, and an atmosphere of togetherness and no judgement.
Spicy Melon is an enticing cocktail, something unique and provocative to all the senses. This blog is about bartending stories, drink creations, and art inspired by all of the above. At the end of the day, we the bartenders are crafting beverages and creating experiences. We are the storytellers of local life and culture.

We love making music, sharing it with people, and are appreciative of the business community we are a part of. Without the local economy there is no budget for music or art.
We want you to take a look at these brands we have hosted on this blog. As we gain new fans and travel outside of Savannah, we want to be able to share our friends and supporters where we go.

The latest release from Xuluprophet available on bandcamp for download. 'From the Gutter to the Swamp' is an excellent set of recordings that show off the band's prowess as live performers. A four track download comes with 3 bonus tracks.
The artwork is from the original 'Stardust' painting done for Xulu by Alfredo Martinez
‘From the Gutter to the Swamp’ is produced by Irish producer Obamabo, and self released by the band. The title is a nod to Xulu’s & Oisin’s early days in 2013 as buskers on River Street.
The hallmark of the band’s live show is the switching of bass between guitarist mid song.. Available on Bandcamp.

‘From the Gutter to the Swamp’ - New album and release party from Xuluprophet
July 4th 2019 Savannah’s own Xuluprophet is letting loose their fiery energetic new album ‘From the Gutter to the Swamp’
‘From the Gutter to the Swamp’ once again has the artwork of artist Alfredo Martinez as the album art. This artist has been doing all of the branding and releated art for the band since 2014, and was the first to visualize Xulu’s Stardust Pixxies concept. Since then Jamie Failing has grown the Stardust Pixxies into a full fledged Cirque performance troupe. Look for some collaborations later this year.
FROM THE GUTTER....
Consisting of just 3 members; Oisin Daly, Rhett Coleman, and founder Xulu Jones (who started with an acoustic guitar while homeless in Savannah in 2012). Resurrecting the project he had started in North Carolina 20 years back. He soon met Daly and the two of them began busking on River Street in 2013.
The title of the release reflects these early days in Savannah. Within a few months they met Coleman, but it would be 3 more years before he would join the band full time.
....To the Swamp
The album and some of the recordings were all handled by member Daly, who has been producing under his brand Obamabo both on US shores and internationally.
In 2018 Xuluprophet toured a wide swath of the Southeast United States and a host of festivals in Georgia and Florida. Joining the band was photographer Logan Wells, then a 20 year old photographer who had expressed serious ambitions toward being a tour photojournalist. Look for a short 20 min film with her work later in 2019 with some animated psychedelic experiences to go with the music.
