Xuluprophet is throwing this one straight into the ether—no polish, no pretension, just raw soul and sweat. This is a live capture from Starland Yard, recorded deep in the humid pulse of Savannah, Georgia, in 2024. What you’re hearing ain’t a studio illusion—it’s the real-time electricity of a band locked into the moment, riding the edge of chaos and control.
This performance is more than a set—it’s a ritual, a deep dive into the groove where each note hits like a sermon and every beat leaves a mark. Featuring Luke Hayes, better known in the underground as The Sax Mage, who brings a layer of hypnotic fire with his signature saxophone sorcery. On the drums is the ever-powerful Dartangne Lark, dropping thunder behind the kit with rhythms that roll like storm surge through the streets of the city. Holding it all together sonically is Oisin Daly, not just Xuluprophet’s guitarist, but the band’s in-house sound architect. He’s the mind behind the mix and master on this track—wringing every ounce of vibe, tension, and raw magic out of the recording without losing a single ounce of its streetborn grit. This release ain’t just another drop. It’s a living artifact of Xuluprophet’s live power. Groove-heavy. Deep-pocket. PsyFunk chaos with discipline. And best of all? It’s free. No gatekeeping, no algorithms—just music straight from the soul, offered up to the ones who’ve been riding with us. Listen loud. Share it wide. And if you were there that night, this is your chance to live it again. If you missed it—this is as close as you’re gonna get to being in that crowd, breathing in that sound, feeling the Georgia heat roll off the stage. #Xuluprophet #LiveFromStarlandYard #SavannahMusic #LukeHayesSaxMage #DartangneLark #OisinDaly #XuluprophetLive #PsyFunkRebellion #RootsRockTruth #SavannahSound #SouthBySavannah

Xuluprophet: A Fusion of Reggae and Rock
Based in the heart of Savannah, Georgia, Xuluprophet ain’t your average band—they’re a force that cuts through the noise with a sound that refuses to stay in a box. With roots sunk deep in reggae, rock, and psychedelic soul, this crew has been setting stages on fire and shaking up minds across the Southeast. Whether it’s a packed venue or a dusty backlot, when Xuluprophet plugs in, it’s more than a show—it’s a ritual.
Each set is a journey through hard-hitting basslines, razor-edge guitar work, and vocals that carry truth like a blade. The energy isn’t just high—it’s electric, raw, and built to move both your feet and your spirit. Their newest release—a cover of "Hurting"—ain’t just a tribute. It’s a reimagining. A resurrection. They took one of Bob Marley’s most emotional songs and poured every ounce of their lived experience into it. The result? A track that honors the weight of the original while delivering it through the lens of Xuluprophet’s own fire-forged voice. The grooves are deeper. The sorrow hits harder. The spirit? Untamed. This isn’t about playing safe. It’s about pushing the edge of what this music can do. Xuluprophet ain’t here to entertain—they’re here to shake the walls of comfort and make you feel something real. #Xuluprophet #HurtingCover #BobMarleyTribute #SavannahMusic #PsyFunkRebellion #XuluprophetLive #RootsRockRituals #LiveNoFilter Dunbrody "..From Wexford county across the bay to Savannah Georgia USA New York City is far away, We're headed for the southern swamps today..."
Dunbrody
Dunbrody by Oisin Daly tells the tale of Irish immigrants that migrated to Savannah, GA from Wexford Ireland during the Great Famine in the 1840s. The Dunbrody was a Cargo ship commissioned in Montreal, Quebec to transport timber, cotton and guano before the crisis in Ireland broke out and was subsequently used to transport the Irish fleeing the island. Inspired in part by a conversation with fisherman cousin Oscar Daly that there was a replica of the Dunbrody in New Ross, Wexford, a little more research showed there was in fact a "Savannah Landing" in New Ross complete with a scale model of Forsyth park. As fate would have it Oisin attended an AGM for the Savannah GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association) where he met Professor Howard Keeley, head of Irish studies at Georgia Southern University, who was in fact the person who commissioned the Savannah landing in New Ross, thus providing the final inspiration to pen the song. The Savannah GAA is planning a trip to visit County Wexford and Dunbrody in May 2022. Musically the song has tinges of Celtic and Southern rock with fingerstyle and slide guitar throughout in a ballad form. You can listen on all major retailers including Spotify and Tidal or buy on Apple music or Amazon. Lyrics
