‘From the Gutter to the Swamp’ once again has the artwork of artist Alfredo Martinez as the album art. This artist has been doing all of the branding and releated art for the band since 2014, and was the first to visualize Xulu’s Stardust Pixxies concept. Since then Jamie Failing has grown the Stardust Pixxies into a full fledged Cirque performance troupe. Look for some collaborations later this year.

FROM THE GUTTER.... Consisting of just 3 members; Oisin Daly, Rhett Coleman, and founder Xulu Jones (who started with an acoustic guitar while homeless in Savannah in 2012). Resurrecting the project he had started in North Carolina 20 years back. He soon met Daly and the two of them began busking on River Street in 2013. The title of the release reflects these early days in Savannah. Within a few months they met Coleman, but it would be 3 more years before he would join the band full time. ....To the Swamp The album and some of the recordings were all handled by member Daly, who has been producing under his brand Obamabo both on US shores and internationally. In 2018 Xuluprophet toured a wide swath of the Southeast United States and a host of festivals in Georgia and Florida. Joining the band was photographer Logan Wells, then a 20 year old photographer who had expressed serious ambitions toward being a tour photojournalist. Look for a short 20 min film with her work later in 2019 with some animated psychedelic experiences to go with the music. |
