HR and Xuluprophet

Experience the magic of music as Xuluprophet took the stage at our beloved home base, The Wormhole Bar, for an extraordinary night of music alongside the legendary HR and the Human Rights band. This moment marked a significant milestone in Xuluprophet's journey, where a personal circle was completed. With hearts filled with gratitude, Xulu, Oisin, and Rhett, along with the talented additions of Luke Hayes and Shark Anthony, delivered an unforgettable performance that left us in awe.

One particular highlight of the evening will forever be etched in our memories. As Xuluprophet concluded their set with their closing song, 'Welcome to Savannah,' a surreal turn of events occurred. HR himself emerged from backstage and grabbed a microphone, joining Xuluprophet on stage. It was a moment of pure magic as the legendary HR and Xuluprophet rocked together, creating an electric atmosphere at The Wormhole. This venue holds special significance as it was the place where Xulu and Oisin first met and came together to make music. Sharing the stage with HR was an incredible honor for Xuluprophet, not just to be part of the same bill but to have the opportunity to perform alongside him. This rare collaboration showcases the deep respect and admiration we have for HR and his musical legacy. Scroll down to find exclusive videos capturing the electrifying moments when HR and Xuluprophet united on The Wormhole's stage.

About HR (Paul D. Hudson): Paul D. Hudson, professionally known as HR or Human Rights, is an American musician renowned for his role in the development of the hardcore punk genre as the frontman of the influential band Bad Brains. His vocal prowess ranges from a rapid-fire nasal whine to feral growling, screeches, smooth near-crooning, and staccato reggae rhymes. HR's musical journey extends beyond punk, with solo endeavors exploring reggae and other genres. His contributions to Bad Brains and the punk scene have solidified his status as an instrumental figure.
HR's deep spiritual connection with Rastafari emerged in 1979 after attending a Bob Marley concert, greatly influencing his musical expression and inspiring the creation of his reggae band, Human Rights (H.R.). While reggae remains his primary focus in solo work, HR's versatile talent extends to rock and various musical genres. He has released numerous albums on SST Records. On stage, HR captivates audiences with his hyperkinetic presence, likened to "James Brown gone berserk," with an impressive repertoire of spins, dives, back-flips, splits, and skanks.
HR's collaborative ventures include notable appearances on songs such as "New Sun" by the Long Beach Dub Allstars and "Without Jah, Nothin'" by P.O.D. These collaborations demonstrate HR's ability to adapt and explore diverse musical styles. In recent years, HR's performances with Human Rights have embraced a mellower and more restrained approach, with a strong focus on reggae, a stark contrast to his animated and aggressive stage presence of earlier years.
Witness the electrifying footage we captured of HR and the Human Rights Band, showcasing the magic that unfolded on that remarkable night at The Wormhole. The anticipation in the room was palpable, with bartenders keeping the crowd well-watered and in high spirits. It was a testament to HR's enduring influence as fans from different eras gathered, dressed in their punk rock style and fashion, honoring his groundbreaking work with the seminal and defining band of the '90s, Bad Brains. Additionally, there were numerous fans who embraced HR's expansive repertoire as a leader in the realm of reggae music with Human Rights.
Experience the convergence of musical legends as Xuluprophet and HR unite on The Wormhole's stage. Relive the magic through these short clips, and join us in celebrating the power of music and the indelible mark left by HR and the Human Rights Band.

What is Graphic Recording? Graphic recording is a dynamic way to document meetings, engage participants, harvest critical feedback and optimize a group’s time together. Businesses and organizations spend lots of time meeting, planning, and talking about big ideas, but, after the meeting is over, people often fall back into the familiar and lose focus & engagement around their goals and objectives that were generated during a meeting or conference. A graphic recorder is present throughout the meeting, listening and capturing the highlights and main points of the conversation in the form of visual imagery and text on a large piece of paper. Services Live graphic recording of conferences, workshops, presentations, panel discussions, town hall meetings, political forums, keynote speeches, training, etc. Shared History — a visual story map created by the testimonials, folklore, and memories of members of a company or organization, in the order of the founding members to the newcomers.
